My blog will document all my fashion learning over the years as I progressed from knowing very little to having a Masters Degree MSC in Clothing Advanced Manufacture (with distinction) and a career as a senior fashion lecturer.
I have un-boxed all my old pattern cutting and sewing notes from the London College of Fashion and plan to document all my previous and current learning here in this blog.

I have purchased your basic block pattern and am wondering where I can learn the best way to use them hoping you can help me, also I am in Australia should I use Uk or USA sizing.

Hi Liz, UK and Australian sizing is labelled the same, although it is best to look at the individual measurements as they can be slightly different. The best way to start using the blocks is to work through the guide that came with the blocks, follow the links and explore. If you want a more structured approach then you can also join me for a course and that way you will learn in detail and cover much more.This is the best course to start you off if you want a more formal and structured approach.
